Acute Telestroke - Training

Training is essential to give staff confidence and skills to use the technology and feel comfortable with it in this clinical setting. Telestroke Programme has developed for most health boards, along with their face to face thrombolysis service, therefore training days or sessions have been jointly provided by clinical teams and the telemedicine team. These have been delivered in collaboration with Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS), local Stroke Managed Clinical Network teams and the SCT.

It has included master classes for stroke physicians, day or half days of training for nurses, radiographers and Scottish Ambulance Service.
